A cultural promotion center and a dance classroom operate in the municipality of Caimanera.

Promoting and developing the artistic talent of the territory is the objective of both centers. The first one has enough area to carry out activities with children, youth and adults, and is able to accommodate more than 300 people within the facility.

The cultural promotion center is characterized by a good cultural option, an efficient gastronomic service and a variety of offers. All this also depends on proper programming, where fixed spaces are provided for the little ones, in the morning and on Saturdays and Sundays for the elderly, on Thursdays.

The specialized classroom for dance teaching also has the necessary conditions for the development of this artistic manifestation in the sea town. Caimanera has art instructors and cultural promoters, who now have two new facilities in their hands to enhance culture in Cuba's first anti-imperialist trench.

However, the centennial American presence at the entrance of the bay represents for Caimanera the existence of limited port possibilities and fishing. The workers of the fishing establishment cannot reach the outer waters of the bay, therefore they also do not achieve variety and quality in the captured species and the commercial interest decreases.

The presence of the naval base has allowed this municipality to be the first defensive bastion of the Cuban revolution. On November 9, 1961, the border battalion was created, a seed of the today border brigade of the Antonio Maceo order.

There are four educational centers, these are an elementary school, a basic secondary school, a special school and a polytechnic.
